Royal Devon & Exeter – Coffee Counter
Creating a clearer, more efficient layout for South West England’s largest catering institution.
The coffee area at the Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital suffered from two main issues:
• Visually, the location was cluttered and confusing
• Waiting times were extensive at busy times – serving time starved customers who demand quality
My role was to create a fresh new ‘coffee station’ – with two distinct coffee offers – bean to cup vs soluble.
Results – coffee spend is up by 8% in the first year of operation, and feedback on the waiting times is very positive.
